The original impetus for this piece with the birth of my son William. As I stood in the delivery room next to his birth mother, I listened and watched the rhythm of his heart on the fetal monitor. The ups and downs of that day and of his heart during delivery formed a score that played in my mind. I wanted to share the delight and vulnerability of that experience with the viewer. I hope you will turn the tiny crank and listen to “2.22.28 | William’s Prelude”.
